2013 BC Election
We are concerned that the BC PharmaCare program currently engages in policy that limits access to medication.
We are concerned that the next BC Government will develop money-saving policies that will be to the detriment of the health of the system and to British Columbian patients who rely on their medications to stay alive.
What we are doing
Our focus for the election period is to meet with candidates and policy makers to reinforce that:
- Drug policies need to be patient-centered
- Medication approval decisions need to be transparent
- Cost-saving measures being considered are detrimental and reduce patient choice
- See Reference-Based Pricing, Therapeutic Substitution, Bulk buying, Tendering.
